Cheap (yet functional) DIY Gaming Headset Pt. 2

I am happy to report that my DIY gaming headset project is coming together quite nicely, I have spent the past couple of days collecting materials and doing my research. I have decided two things that could potentially make several goals that I initially wanted to achieve easily doable .

  1. I am going to modify a pair of ear muffs, the kind that workers use to protect their hearing to mount everything to. The main problem with this is finding a pair that are comfortable and have enough plastic/metal to mount components to. These generally run like 20$.
  2. I have not decided whether or not to just tear down a Logitech headset that has speakers and a mic and modify those or buying both speakers and a mic separately and integrating them in. Logitech headsets of this nature run upwards of about 18 to 25$.
Stay Tuned for part 3 coming soon!
